A Thursday Feast – 1st March 2018

Come and join us every week at Fat Pig Farm for a leisurely afternoon on the farm. While sitting at our long table in the farm kitchen, we’ll serve you multiple dishes straight from our gardens and paddock – all seasonal, all grown by hand, and all cooked in our open kitchen while you watch on. Everything possible will be sourced from within the farm itself. It’s an authentic paddock to plate meal – a one-off dining experience like no other. We will celebrate the meal with specially matched beer, wine, cider and spirits from around Tasmania.

In between courses we’ll take you on a guided tour of the farm. Be prepared for a long lazy afternoon. We start at 12:30 and usually end around 4pm.

Friday Feasts are a fixed price of $165, fully inclusive of the leisurely lunch with matching drinks and the the farm tour. You can check out a sample menu to give you an idea of what to expect and scroll down to the red box to book.

We’re open every Friday except for three weeks from 29 Sept through 13 October 2017 when we will close for a holiday.

OTHER THINGS TO GO THROUGH PLEASE: 1: Do we want to do extra Feasts to absorb the big waitlists? - Sadie and I have looked at dates and these could be done ... - SUNDAY 11TH FEB - possible cruise ship breakfast - do we want to do Feast on that day as well? NO. But can we do the Thursday? If not the Thursday, then the Saturday, but Thursday would be preferable. - SATURDAY 17TH FEB - (we have 19 w/list on 16th Feb) - NO - THURSDAY 1ST OR SATURDAY 3RD MARCH (we have 16 w/list on 2nd March) - YES. would prefer Thursday. 2: Winter Feast 2018 June 15-17 and 21 - 24 June - refer email from jocookfood@gmail.com - Matthew and Kellie on to it. 3: X Mas hampers what's going in - start to market them. Small bottle of McHenry’s gin, Matthew’s mum’s shortbread in a S.G. Emmett and sons tin, linen tea towel. $88 plus postage. Will add all customers to the newsletter subscription (if not on there already) and will send out in November newsletter. 4: Franklin Wedding people EMMA PIKE. Can only come to see us on weekends to discuss wedding - Zara needs to respond ... Can Sadie or Kellie call them to discuss prior to arranging an in person meeting? a) They baulked at $70pp as was above their budget (100pax) b) We'd need to hire equipment on top of that Can you very politely say to Emma that we’ve had a really long talk and think and because we’d have to hire equipment etc…. NO 5: Feast on April 6 (which is booked out with a waitlist) Matthew and Sadie not here. Zara to contact the guests and let them know ... Also ... who will do the tour (Nick has offered)? On it! Yukon - Can Kellie and Zara go into detail on menu and costing for menu. We think they should be given a welcome drink and then told to hold on to it as everything they drink will go into that glass. Picnic box needs to be cleared relatively quickly so they’re not stuck juggling it.
