A once-in-a-lifetime cultural experience of this ancient Sea Country food – Matthew Evans from Fat Pig Farm, sustainability champion and host of Gourmet Farmer on SBS, will showcase Tasmanian Aboriginal Seafood abalone, serving free-range pork & abalone san choy bau on the last day of the Taste of Summer, 2 Jan 2023.
Joining Matthew and members of his team from Fat Pig Farm, is Dr Emma Lee, associate professor at Swinburne University and a descendant of the trawlwulwuy people, one of the oldest Tasmanian Aboriginal clans. Emma will share information about the historic agreement with the Tasmanian Government that has allowed for the establishment of a Tasmanian Aboriginal cultural fishery.
