Living Soil Workshop – Saturday, 25 March 2023

March 25 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Ready to get your hands dirty? Dig deep into your soil with the knowledge you gather from Nadia and Sadie at Fat Pig Farm, learning how good soil means good, delicious fruit and veggies and a better world for all.

The earth under out feet is a living breathing ecosystem, more diverse than anything we experience above ground. Learn how to feed and nurture the soil ecosystem so that it feeds and nurtures the plants that nurture us.

Who should come: Anyone who has a garden or wants to garden.

What you’ll learn: What is soil and why is it so important? How to repair or enhance your soil to make sure the food you grow is as nutritious and delicious as possible. What compost and worm farms and witchy ferments you can create to feed your soil. Why excessive tilling is bad and techniques to create a no-till garden.

What you’ll get: A yummy fresh, seasonal lunch and morning tea from our farm to your tummy, to fuel your day. You’ll also receive your own copy of Matthew’s bestselling book SOIL plus a workshop handbook of great reference information. Needless to say, you’ll get knowledge and inspiration to extend your growing and eating journey.
