On the Road! National Launch of ‘The Real Food Companion’ – 2 Nov to 6 Dec 2022

Matthew’s hitting the road to have a chat about this gorgeous and inspiring new book.
Monday Nov 28th – Mudgee
One of the inspirations for the seasonal, produce focused food we do at Fat Pig Farm is Kim Currie, who ran Rylston Foodstore and later the Zin House at Lowes Winery. We’re very pleased to join Lowes for a sit down dinner launch with Kim having a chat to Matthew about soil to stomach cooking, then showing us around the garden, with some tastes of food inspired by the book and of course some of Lowes’ lovely wine. Tues Nov 29th – Orange, from 6pm
Matthew will at The Old Convent in Borenore to enjoy Josie Chapman’s delightful cooking and Bloodwood’s amazing wines, in conversation with local legend Sophie Hansen. Book here .
Wednesday Nov 30th – Sydney Seafood School
Real Food includes real seafood, and Matthew is stoked to be teaching a masterclass at the Sydney Seafood School. In this hands-on class you’ll learn what makes for good seafood, some really accessible and achievable recipes and have a bit of a drink and laugh along the way. 6-9pm. Tickets here.
Thursday Dec 1st – Feather & Bone, Sydney
Laura Dalrymple and Grant Hilliard will host an evening and a taste from The Real Food Companion. Due to popular demand, this shindig has been moved to the chic industrial ambiance of their MARRICKVILLE location where there’s plenty of space for everyone. Tickets here.
Friday Dec 2nd – Para Hills Community Hub, South Australia
Matthew will hit the ground in South Australia at this lovely community hub. It’s a one hour talk from 12.30pm, where we’ll talk about truly ripe peaches, how to choose seafood and anything to do with good food. Book here.
Saturday Dec 3rd – Willunga, South Australia
Matthew will be at the Willunga Farmers’ Market on Saturday morning from 10am, doing a cooking demo using market produce, answering your questions, and celebrating real food with those who grow and buy it.
Sunday Dec 4th – Meadows, South Australia
IT’S WORLD SOIL DAY! (Well, Monday the 5th is…) Matthew is celebrating with Landscape SA and a whole host of interesting soil peeps for a family friendly day out in Meadows. Monday Dec 5th – Ngutungka Library, West Lakes, Adelaide
