We’re setting sail again with Saturday lunch cruises down the Huon River aboard the good ship Yukon. Rescued from the bottom of a harbour near Copenhagen, the Yukon is a beautiful 80-year old Scandinavian tall ship that now sails on the tranquil waters of the Huon River. With delightful skipper David Nash, you can hoist the square sail, learn more about the ship’s intriguing history, or just sit back and feast on a picnic basket filled with farmhouse goodness from Fat Pig Farm. Tickets are $185 per person, including your two-hour cruise, lunch and drinks.
“There’s something special about unpacking a picnic someone else has lovingly prepared for you. Discovering the delicacies as you float down the Huon River … may just be the perfect feasting experience.” Tracey Renkin (Tas Weekend, The Mercury)
