It’s all New! Thomas New, that is!
Willie Smith’s Head Cider Maker and Distiller believes in letting the apples, the orchards and the vintage conditions, speak. He’ll be cracking open some of his latest ciders, made with heirloom cider apples. Each cider will be selected to accompany your multiple-course, long, lazy lunch. As always we’ll be serving our seasonal produce grown and nurtured in the paddocks surrounding our restaurant, and this time we’ll be spicing up the farmhouse menu to match Thomas’ cider.
Thomas will introduce each beverage, including the single varietal Bulmer’s Norman and Willie Smith’s latest Heritage Blend. We’ll take you on a tour of the farm between courses and, throughout the afternoon, you’ll get a sneak peek at some exclusive cider blends normally only available to Willie’s Cider Club.
Thomas started making cider at the youthful age of 15. He later become a Botanist, returning to the world of fermentation as a winemaker at Howard Park, Stefano Lubiana and Mac Forbes.
All in all, it’s a match made in the Huon Valley.
