Calling all fermenters and would-be-fermenters….we’re having a party! A dinner party. Thanks to Sharon Flynn at The Fermentary, Sandor Katz is coming to Fat Pig Farm. Join us at 5pm on Saturday, 14 March to meet the legendary (that is not an exaggeration) Sandor Katz and hear him speak about fermentation and how it makes everything we eat that much more delicious. Sadie will host along with Kirsten Bradley from Milkwood (a woman who knows a fair whack about fermenting herself) and the Fat Pig team will do what they do best, cook up a farmhouse storm of fermented goodness. Plus we’ll have heaps of homemade (and not so homemade) fermented drinks for sale at the bar.
Sandor Katz calls himself a “fermentation revivalist” having experimented with traditional fermenting techniques and ingredients from all over the world and made them accessible through his enthusiastic writing and workshops. His books include Wild Fermentation and the magnificent The Art of Fermentation.
