agriCULTURED is a program of events in northern Tasmania that celebrates the value of Tasmania’s agri-food business to our culture, community and economy. From 5th-7th August, growers, eaters and scientists mix with makers, musicians, composers and other creative people to discuss, discover and share food.
Matthew will make the trip north to be part of two events:
CONVERSATIONS IN THE CITY on Friday 5 August, 9am – 5pm at Launceston’s Civic Square Precinct
This full-day event puts food and culture at the heart of Launceston and its designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. The day will conclude with a dynamic panel discussion featuring Matthew, Hannah Moloney from Goodlife Permaculture and Brand Tasmania’s Todd Babiak. Tickets $125
LANDSCAPES OF LEARNING, Saturday 6 August, 11am-5pm in Meander Valley
This event is a curated round of Acoustic Life of Farm Sheds that includes live music and visits to farms in Mole Creek, Dairy Plains and Westbury. It is paired with three discussion panels exploring climate change, fire management, and biodiversity as well as crop selection, forestry, and soil science.
